There are moments in life when we become so focused on what's in front of us that we forget to look above us. This painting is a gentle reminder that God has been there all along.
At first glance, you may see towering pines reaching endlessly toward the sky. Look a little longer and something extraordinary begins to emerge. The light forms the unmistakable shape of the Cross....quietly revealing what was there from the very beginning.
The soaring eagle represents strength, freedom, and hope.
The Cross reminds us of love.

There are moments when a painting becomes more than paint on a canvas.
This is one of those moments. When I began creating this piece, my vision was to capture the beauty of towering pines reaching toward heaven. But as the painting came to life, something incredible happened. The light naturally formed the shape of a cross.
I never planned it that way.
Now, nearly everyone who sees it says the same words..."I see the cross."
That reminded me of something so true: God's presence has a way of revealing itself when we simply look up. Life has a way of pulling our eyes toward our problems, our fears, and the endless distractions around us. But when we lift our eyes, we remember where our hope comes from.

My prayer is that every time someone sees this painting, they're reminded that even in life's darkest seasons, the light of the cross is still there....steady, unwavering, and calling us to look higher.
